Leads McKinsey’s Life Sciences in Greater China

Jin is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Shenzhen office. Jin joined the firm in 2003 after earning her MBA from MIT, and she is now the leader of McKinsey’s Life Sciences in Greater China. She is also a member of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) Council, which advises on MGI’s research on global economic, business, and technology trends.

Over the past two decades, Jin has advised leading global and Chinese pharma and medtech companies on growth and transformation. Her expertise spans developing growth strategies, accelerating innovative product launches, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving tech-enabled transformations. Jin has spearheaded efforts to foster sustainable drug innovation in China and co-authored the “Bridges to Innovation” report series from 2014 to 2024 (in collaboration with BioCentury and BayHelix).

Additionally, Jin leads McKinsey’s efforts in the healthcare services and health insurance sectors in China. She has co-authored several whitepapers, including “Finding the future of care provision: The role of smart hospitals,” “Evolution of digital hospitals in China,” and “Challenges and opportunities in China health insurance.”

Jin is a dedicated advocate for women’s leadership initiatives at the firm, and she has significantly contributed to McKinsey’s publications on this important topic (including “Women Matter, an Asian perspective”).
