Hojoon is a partner in McKinsey’s Seoul office and leads the firm’s Advanced Industries and Sustainability Practices in South Korea. He is also a coleader of the McKinsey Center for Future Mobility in Seoul. He helps leading companies meet the challenge of disruption and lean into opportunities through business model transformation. He also works with high-tech manufacturing companies to help them transform into more sustainable and higher-performing organizations.

Some of his recent client work includes the following:

  • leading a multiyear decarbonization transformation program for a global automotive company
  • developing a business portfolio and enterprise value uplift strategy for an Asian conglomerate
  • creating a post-merger integration value-capture strategy program for a heavy industry player

He is passionate about net zero, and he co-founded the McKinsey Net Zero Center, a physical center that provides experience lab activities and lectures about decarbonization, renewable energy, hydrogen, and carbon capture with the client.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Hojoon worked as a principal at A.T. Kearney.
