To deliver on our firm’s purpose to create positive, enduring change in the world, we have committed $2 billion to social responsibility efforts by 2030. A focal point of this commitment is growing economic opportunity to help organizations thrive, economies prosper, and people progress.

We bring this ambition to life through our pro bono projects and McKinsey.org programs, which tap into the best of our expertise to accelerate the impact of individuals and nonprofits around the world. We also help our colleagues turn their passion into action, serving their local communities through volunteering, giving, and fellowships.

We create opportunities for our colleagues in over 130 cities and 65 countries to transform their passion into meaningful action within their local communities. In 2024, our colleagues supported 4,500 nonprofits worldwide through:

• Service: In addition to pro bono consulting teams, we provide paid volunteer time off for our colleagues to serve their communities, with many regions hosting an annual Day of Service. We also support our colleagues serving on the boards of local nonprofits.
• Cash and in-kind donations: We fund nonprofits selected by colleagues with financial grants provided by our firm. We also match individual colleague donations to organizations that are making a positive impact.
• Fellowships: We offer a paid leave of absence where consultants are embedded in nonprofits instead of working for our firm for six to 12 months, helping deliver key projects that enhance organizations’ performance and impact.
